Thursday, 17 September 2009 in the Chao Auditorium, Ekstrom Library, University of Louisville, at 6:00pm: Professor Karen Britt  of the University of Louisville will speak on the topic:  “Copy It and They Will Come: A Re-Evaluation of the Pilgrimage Church of Saint John at Ephesos.” There will be a reception following the lecture.

Thursday, 15 October 2009 in the Briggs Auditorium, College of Fine Arts, University of Kentucky, Lexington at 7:30pm: Professor John Oakley of the College of William and Mary, the AIA Joukowsky Lecturer, will speak on the topic: “Children in Wartime: Ancient Athens and Modern Europe.

 

Thursday, January 14th 2010 in the Chao Auditorium in the Ekstrom Library at the University of Louisville at 6:00pm. Professor Deborah Brown Stewart of the Dumbarton Oaks Research Center will speak on "An Archaeological Mystery at Eleusis: The House of the Priestess and the Oikos of the Kerykes."

 

Thursday, 4 February 2010 in the  Chao Auditorium, Ekstrom Library, University of Louisville, Louisville at 6:00pm: Professor James Delgado of the Vancouver Maritime Museum will speak on the topic: “Kamikase:Discovering Kublai Khan’s Lost Fleet.”



Thursday, 25 March 2010 "LOOT AND LIES: TRAFFICKING IN ANTIQUITIES."
On Thursday, March 25th, from 6 to 8 PM, in the Auditorium of the Speed Art Museum, Professor Jodi Magness, distinguished archaeologist from UNC-Chapel Hill, and documentary film maker Gary Glassman of Providence Pictures will speak about the antiquities trade in Israel This event is co-sponsored by the KY Society of the Archaeological Institute of America and the Department of Fine Arts of the University.

On Friday, March 26th in the Auditorium of the Speed Art Museum from 7-9:00pm, Gary Glassman will screen his recent documentary, "The Bible's Buried Secrets", on Friday, March 26th, from 7 to 9 PM. Hill show an except from this film on Thursday night.
 

Thursday, 8 April 2010 in the William T. Young Library Auditorium, University of Kentucky, Lexington at 7:30pm: Professor Bridget Buxton, AIA McCann/Taggart Lecturer from the Institute for Nautical Oceanography, University of Rhode Island, will speak on the topic: “A New Dawn of Exploration: Mediterranean and Black Sea Archaeology.
