KENTUCKY SOCIETY OF THE AIA, 2011-2012 LECTURE SCHEDULE

 

 

Thursday, 22 September 2011 Professor Julie Hruby of Berea College will lecture on

the topic: “Who Ate Dinner with Nestor.” The lecture will take place in W 104 in

the Ekstrom Library at the University of Louisville at  6:00PM.

 

Tuesday, 18 October 2011 Professor Nancy DeGrummond of Florida State University

will deliver this year’s Norton Lecture on the topic: “Etruscan Human Sacrifice in

Myth and Ritual.” The lecture will take place in the Briggs Theater (Fine Arts

121) at the University of Kentucky in Lexington at 7:30pm.

 

 

Wednesday, 25 January 2012 Professor Steven Ellis of the University of Cincinnati will

lecture on the topic: “Pompeii from the Bottom Up.”  The lecture will take place

in W 104 in the Ekstrom Library at the University of Louisville at 6:00PM.

 

Thursday, 1 March 2012 Professor Jennifer Westerfeld of the University of Louisville

will lecture on the topic: “Pagan Places, Christian Traces: Revisiting a Pharaonic Temple in

 Byzantine Egypt." The lecture will take place in W 104 in the Ekstrom Library at the University

 of Louisville at 6:00PM.

 

Tuesday, 3 April 2012 Professor Sheramy Bundrick of the University of South

Florida will lecture on the topic: “Women on Athenian Pots.” The lecture will

take place in the Young Library Auditorium at the University of Kentucky in

Lexington at 7:30pm.
